physical, a DESIGN-TO-FAB MARKETPLACE and CAD-as-a-service platform built on `cq-generator`: a CadQuery pipeline that turns a natural-language prompt into a complete manufacturable product package, parametric 3D CAD (STEP/STL/SVG/DXF), BOMs, assembly + process docs, electronics + DRC, and FEA/thermal/CFD analysis, with iterative AUTO-REDESIGN when manufacturability validation fails.

Purpose of this phase
Deploy the API to staging; wire the deterministic comparator (DFM/DRC + FEA via CalculiX/OpenFOAM) behind the gate; pass an end-to-end DRY-RUN release (validate → blocked-or-released) with zero unreleased-order attempts. No real money, no fab.

Principles

  1. Article 1

    A design is a falsifiable claim. Every Design ships with a ManufacturabilityResult carrying a calibrated manufacturability score.

  2. Article 2

    Fabricated-and-inspected beats simulated. Success is a FirstPassYield meeting the predicted threshold, never a passing simulation on a screen.

  3. Article 3

    The gate is deterministic and it is ours. Every Design is checked by physical's own non-LLM DFM/DRC + FEA comparator before any fab order leaves, independent of the fab partner.

  4. Article 4

    Knowledge compounds into a moat. Every loop writes priors back to the KB and deepens the design/manufacturability dataset; the next design queries before it generates, and the dataset compounds with marketplace volume, not cheaply replicable.

Standing refusals

  • We will not release a design to manufacture without a passing, physical-run deterministic manufacturability verdict (DFM/DRC-clean + FEA safety factor met)

    The deterministic gate before any real-money fab order is what physical is; bound by metrics.manufacturability_pass_rate (== 1.0, gate: true) + unreleased_fab_order_attempts (== 0, gate: true).

  • We will not design, optimize, broker, or fulfill controlled, export-controlled, weapons, firearm-component, or safety-defeat hardware

    No customer, campaign, or price clears a regulated or harm-intended hardware design. There is no approval path.

  • We will not release a safety-critical or load-bearing part below its required FEA safety-factor margin

    Structural failure of a released part is irreversible. The margin is non-negotiable for declared service loads.
